Labyrinth (21 Nov. 2007)

Possessing false joy as I did enter
Pain was thus declared
With a newly ripped out heart
In consequence: deep despair

Agonized in my walk
I held to myself close
Praying that I would not lose my soul
to the other wandering hosts

As the path continued on
I began to look ahead
And consumed I was on future's sight
my feet were filled with lead.

In the midst of my long journey
I stopped (for I could not go)
And when my goal was looked upon
I was reminded of the flow

The purpose is within the heart
(of the circle or the soul)
Not in the lines or in the mind
does meaning there patrol

Wandered in and trekked back out
Peace then encasing my heart
It was with joy that there I could
Recall my point and part
